The end.

Once the bull is dead. The public shout, clap and wave a white tissues. The whole process is repeated 6 times with 6 different bulls. 6 deaths. I am not an animal lover but the first death is a bit hard and bloody.

What I realised, is that most people are not there to see the bulls die. They want some action. They want to see the torreo get attacked by the bull. It's quite cruel. Because it's more about whether the guys will get hurt than the death of the bull.

There were three incidents when the bull charged into the men. Corns in the stomach. One got treaded on. The other flew over the bull and the other time the bull kept charging into the torreo. One of them was hurt. Quite badly. He nearly had to be taken off. I can't tell you the state of my tummy. Your heart just jumps. Anything can happen and the bulls are so powerful. Numerous are the stories about the deaths of torreos

But all ended well. Well for the humans. Not for the bulls.

Am I against bullfighting? No. It's quite spectacular. They were tortured throughout, but it lasts 20 minutes for each bull. And most of them have lived a better life than most battery animals. Their death is somewhat stunning. Would I go on regular basis, no? Was it a fab experience? Definitely.

What surprised me the most? Kids, little girls and boys as young as 3 years old in the arena, who seemed quite used to it. !!

In England la corrida could never exist but here in Spain it does not seem like it will be banned anytime soon.
