For those of you who don't know me (highly doubt there are many of you due to my awful blog name) my name is Alice and I am spending my summer in Spain. Seville to be more precise.
To come back to my blog's name, what do you call a blog? Something thoroughly thought out? Witty? Words that are bound to be googled? Does the name of a blog really matter? I don't know. Yet I have spent an awful long time thinking about it. I got so worked up I didn't even want to start writing my blog until I had found a decent name. But then I realised that would be absurd. So in the end even though Sex and Sun in Spain would have brought me a big readership I decided to just get the title over and done and pick this one. I find it funny.
Yes I am staying two months. That's two months. Am I going to work? No. Am I going to take lessons? No. So what are you going to do? I don't know. To be completely truthful (which this blog will be) I don't know what I am doing. Yet I know what I want the end result to be:
Fluent in Spanish
Have read all the books that I bought with me ranging from International Relations to Islam
Finished my personal statement
Have learnt all about the history of the Moors and their influence on Seville
Travelled through Spain
Done a blog
(and tanned)
I have decided to keep a blog as I believe having to jot down what I've been up to and my progress is a good way to keep motivated as well as keeping in touch.
This will not be a pink cloud, everything is like totally amazing here like omg blog. No it will be the truth. From my humengous backpack to language disasters.
