Los patos.

 On Friday evening at around 8pm I was reading in Parque Maria Luisa. It's the nicest time of the day. As the sun sets it fills the park with beautiful colours and they start watering the park which is so cooling. I was next to the small lake with the fig trees. Then this man starts fiddling in the water with sticks. It was just bizarre.  Taking photographs of the leaves and climbing round every corner as if looking for something. 

Turned out he was looking for los patos (ducks!) He worked in the park and told me how they cleaned out the lake every Monday, to get rid of the duck feces. By the Friday the lake was very dirty and the ducks stopped eating and he was scared some of them had died.  That's what I understood anyway. 

He then chatted about his 3 year old daughter and about his divorce and life and problems with his ex wife..! You really are never left alone. Then we talked about London and Spain. 

So many Sevillanos have told me how clever they thought the British were for not going into the euro. For them the British are the cleverest nation there is! They admit to being a very closed nation. Most of them have never travelled outside Spain. And as much as they love tourists, you will find that racists comments are very very common. I mean every time Cristina sees someone from Africans origins she will always whisper some weird stuff. The whole experience just highlights how open minded London and Londoners are. Something I will be happy to go back to. 

In the end los patos cames out and he took pictures and went off.
