I so wanted to have a drink at El Rinconcillo and then dinner at Bar Coloniales but this is August, in Seville, and finding somewhere open did proove to be a huge struggle! But thankfully we ended up at this cool bar. It was tiny and we were standing up for most it but we had some delicious food and the gay barmen dancing and playing plastic drums with American girls was somewhat entertaining. The walls were covered in bottles of wines and a mishmash of Andalusian collections.
We then drifted off to have an other drink at La Estrella. The location was beautiful, in the little streets of Santa Cruz but the chairs were dissapointing. The way they are made, with pleated plastic is so painful for a sweating bum in the heat.
Dinner was at a mixture of tapas bars. We had delicious sausages marinated in wine, bull's tail, chorizo, meatballs, delicious potatoes and Tempranillo. It was great. Then we did Parque Marie Luisa by night. Not as fab as during the day but definitely worth a look. After another drink I dragged him (literally) to La Carboneria for some flamenco.
Sunday consisted in a fab toasted jamon and oil sandwich for breakfast. It was delicious. Definitely more delicious than it sounds. Then we had a last dip in the swimming pool. I didn't catch any pictures (but I promise I will sneak back in for a dip and grab a couple of shots). Then lunch in la Triana. Pescaito Frito with marinated peppers, jamon and uberly fresh gambas.
Then it all ended. I left my the airport with an enormous whole in my tummy but with many memories of a fabulous weekend. Unfortunately my camera was in my bedroom for the whole thing and so I don't have any pictures.
But I grabbed two shots today. Top one (where T was asked €5 for two cans of coca-cola, this is the same place I go with Cristina and when I go with her the lady takes out a load of stuff from under the counter at Seville prices, amazing huh?) Bottom a picture (entrance of our hotel).
