Through the streets of el Albaicín.

After leaving them I wandered round the streets of this ancient Muslim quarter. A lot of the streets names are written in Arabic and there was once 30 mosques squattered around, some of which can still be traced.  The long and narrow cobbled alleys are tiny and as you wonder round there is a strong smell of jasmin in the air.

Top picture: you can spot the Sierra Nevada (mountain range), where you can find the most southern ski resort in Europe.

Top picture: entrance of the resturant where I ate.

As the sun started setting, the Alhambra lit up and it was absolutely stunning. I had some food at this restaurant recommended in my tourist book. The food was delicious, gambas marinated in garlic and aceite, a garlic and almond fresh soup and olives. Delicious. The restaurant looked over the whole of Grenada and the Alhambra. It was so beautiful!!
