Last week I was in Barcelona and I still have not mentioned it on my blog. I arrived the day following the huge storm. The tube had been flooded with water and you could still see the trees that had been ripped apart by the wind. Very surprising considering it was at least 30°C when I was there.
The city is packed with tourists. Which means all the negative stuff that comes from tons of tourists. People selling things everywhere. People begging you to buy things everywhere. High prices. People traffick everywhere. Noise. Suitcases nudging you everywhere. I had never seen a city with such a high percentage of tourists (minus Lourdes). That with warm/ humid weather + an aching tooth ... There was a lot of times where I just wanted to be out of the place.
But alongside Gaudi's architecture there are other cool sides of Barcelona that I really enjoyed. And no, I'm not talking about the night clubs.
First night I was in Kabul. That was the name of my hostel. Is that probably why I booked a bed over there? Yes. As I arrived I realised my toothpaste had exploded in my bag. Nothing had tooth paste on it but everything kind of smelt minty and humid... Mmm. What a great start. But I was determined to have a good three days minus all the minuses.
